  • Porsche 911 Speedster for sale

    This gorgeous 911 Speedster is presented in Jet Black with black leather seats and a black lightweight hood.

    The 3.2 litre flat six air-cooled engine develops 231 bhp and features 16" Fuchs wheels, the G-50 gearbox with hydraulic clutch and the original Blaupunkt Toronto radio cassette. It also benefits from factory-fitted sports seats which were an optional extra at the time.

    The 911 Speedster was produced in strictly limited numbers for the US market and used the body, brakes and suspension from the 911 Turbo, with mechanical components from the 3.2 Carrera.

    By removing the rear seats, the hood (referred to as a 'rain hat' by Porsche) could be concealed under the rear fibreglass 'clam shell' which gives the Speedster such a distinctive identity.

    Internally the seat rails were lowered by 20mm and the heater control unit was replaced with manually operated levers.The Speedster also features a unique lower, raked windscreen and frameless side screens.

    Only 139 RHD examples were ever made, with just 64 imported into the UK. Many are held in private collections around the world and it's rare to find one with such an astonishingly low mileage.

    It has driven just 2,104 miles from new in 1989.
