This exquisite 'matching numbers' 1960 356 B Roadster is presented in the original colour combination of Jet Black with red leather seats and black hood. Fully restored, it is supplied complete with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The 356 B was introduced in 1960 with both 'wind up' windows and a taller windshield, increasing practicality over the 356 A Speedster. Under the hood, other improvements included improved engine internals, a stronger transaxle and shifting linkage and improved brakes.
Externally, certain aspects of the bodywork were reshaped including the hood and front fenders. There were just 2,649 examples built over the 1960-1961 production period. The 75hp engine is an air-cooled 1600 cc OHV horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine with dual Zenith carburettors.
The 356B featured four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension, independent rear swing axles with torsion bars and four-wheel drum brakes.
A beautiful example of a true classic Porsche.
