This 911 GT3 Clubsport (996) has the 6-speed manual gearbox and is presented in Guards Red with Nomex fire retardant bucket seats.

The 'GT3' designation was introduced to denote racing-focused models where excess weight had been removed including the sound deadening, rear seats, rear speakers and the sunroof. Typically the air-conditioning and the CD player were also absent, but have been 'optioned' with this example. The 3.6 litre flat six Mezger engine develops 360 bhp and is based on the one used for the Porsche 962 and 911 GT1 race cars.

The GT3 features enlarged brakes, a lowered, re-tuned suspension system, lighter wheels and a new front bumper and rear spoiler to help increase downforce.

Standard features include 18" Sport Design wheels and Porsche CDR-22 CD Player.

Factory-fitted options include the Clubsport pack, which includes Nomex fire retardant bucket seats, a battery cut off switch, a rear roll cage and Schroth harnesses. Other options include Guards Red seat belts, a Guards Red centre console and air conditioning.
