  • Porsche 911 2.4 S for sale

    This left hand drive 911 2.4 S Coupe is presented in Silver Metallic with black leatherette seats with Houndstooth inserts.

    By 1972 all Porsche six cylinder engines had a capacity of 2341 cc, obtained by lengthening the stroke from 66 to 70.4mm. The 911 T retained its Solex-Zenith carburettors with a power output of 130 bhp. The new 911 E produced 165 bhp and the 911 S produced 190 bhp, the increased performance could be felt from 5000 rpm (500 rpm sooner than the 2.2 S) and the car now had a top speed of 147 mph.

    The 911 S was the pinnacle of Porsche's sportscar development during the early 1970s, with only the 2.7 RS offering higher performance.

    Chassis number 9112301637 was manufactured by Porsche in Stuttgart and sold new via an Italian importer in September 1972. Optional extras at delivery were tinted windscreen and side glass.

    Fully restored and bare metal painted in 2005. The car retains its original 1972 service booklet and wallet and basket weave tool roll and jack and comes complete with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
